Welcome to the website of the Salt Spring Abattoir
The Salt Spring Abattoir is a community facility managed by the the not- for- profit Salt Spring Abattoir Society.
It provides custom slaughter service for both red meat and poultry.
The abattoir is currently operating for it’s 2016 season.
We have received an overwhelming amount of requests for meat birds this year. Please book your meat birds at least 3 weeks in advance to get preferred dates.
Note that our processing dates have switched. We now process poultry on Wednesdays and red meat on Thursday.
We have been busy upgrading our facilities this past winter and look forward to processing beef, pork and rabbits later in the season.

Turn sharp left on entering the drive and follow the directions to dropoff or pickup.
The site is not open to the public. Tours will be arranged by appointment.
